Bridget Polk archive
Does anyone know if any of Polk's audio archives have ever been digitised? Obviously many of her photos have been. It would be good to hear those other Max's tapes. The first night without Lou (26th August) must be a fascinating document.

Re: George Nardo
Not that crazy a find. I just emailed the studio he runs. I hadn't been aware he'd actually been in the band til quite recently. I thought they'd played as a three piece briefly after Lou left, and then recruited Walter before Moe returned. But according to the Olandem site, George was the replaceme...

George Nardo
Hi all, George Nardo is one of the most obscure Velvet 'members'- he took over on bass at the end of the Max's tenure after Lou quit, but wasn't around when the band regrouped with Moe after the Summer, and with Walter Powers in his slot instead. He also appeared on Moe's solo version of I'm Stickin...

Re: Noise and the East Village Other LP
Mark, Firstly, thanks for pulling back the layers and letting us hear this. Secondly, this is quite the most unlistenable thing that you've ever been involved with. That's sort of a compliment :) The drumming is odd. Either the drummer is performing some very tight drum rolls, or the snare drum skin...

Re: Concertgebouw Soundboard 1971
Did you ever try and reply to the radio station? Might be worth mentioning that the songs they have have never been made available anywhere. Suggest a late night airing of the full concert maybe? It's evident they have some sort of licence in place for repeating the concert, or else they wouldn't ha...

Re: Concertgebouw Soundboard 1971
Well, that raises more questions than it answers! They've clearly had the rights to rebroadcast it - as they did with a few tracks a few years ago. And also they made a copy for a user here too, didn't they? I wonder what agreement they'd need to be able to make a copy? I'm sure I could ask Willie t...

Friends / She'll Make You Cry
Has anyone other than the band and Ritchie Unterberger heard this late 1970 recording by Moe, Sterling, Doug and Walter? Ritchie has clearly had access to all the take a they recorded that day, but I don't think any have ever leaked. I'd love to hear it!

Re: Concertgebouw Soundboard 1971
If this is all we ever get, at least the audience recording can patch up the gaps.
Have you emailed the station yet btw?
