Re: Interview-article about the Lou Reed archive on please kill me

It implies these are solo pre-VU demos featuring just Lou - I think?

Re: Interview-article about the Lou Reed archive on please kill me

Wow, very interesting. I suspect that some of the 7 tracks are ones we are aware of - 'Never Get Emotionally Involved...', maybe 'Prominent Men' (as it's not a well known VU song), etc. - but it definitely looks like there will be some unknown stuff in there. Just hope it gets released soon!

Re: Transmission Impossible

If you scroll down to 3 Jan, apparently there is. http://olivier.landemaine.free.fr/vu/live/1965-66/perf6566.html I never really noticed that, before. A number of songs missing from all the CDs, even the original Warhol Exhibition CD. I wonder where that list came from? Some of those songs listed I...

Re: Transmission Impossible

I don't see any mention of the missing tracks? Looks like the same old in a different package. Looking for Men Of Good Fortune, Prominent Men and others. Now that would be an incredible find! Is there another recording of Prominent Men? If you scroll down to 3 Jan, apparently there is. http://olivi...

Re: Transmission Impossible

BTW Track 5 from the Factory rehearsal, which is always listed as Boom Boom, is actually Big Boss Man, a different but similar track.

Re: Transmission Impossible

I agree the 'Rosie Lee Files' seem to be the most likely source, but it's not impossible they'll be from a lower lineage, given a selection of tracks which sound slightly better to me were on the VU & Nico Deluxe. I'm also still undecided as to whether the tracks on Despatches From The Dream Factory...

Re: Transmission Impossible

It seems to me to fall into that grey area of not quite an official release, not quite a bootleg - semi-official or unofficial but not actually illegal. This seems to be a growing area for CDs, I guess to do with either the expiration of copyright or this 'broadcasted' loophole. There was a Pogues C...

WTF? Is this legit? And does Disc 1 really contain the complete tracks from All Tomorrow's Parties: Remebering the Velvet Underground?!

Re: Never Get Emotionally Involved With a Man Woman Beast or Child

What implies that? I couldn't see any reference to it on either the Facebook page or the article about the poetry book? The fact that they have added a tease of the song to an advert for the book while stating that there are exciting projects in the works implies it could be among those projects. I...
