It's not a bootleg in any way, it's part of the Classic Albums documentary series which I'm surprised you haven't heard of. A very nice DVD, recommended.

Now I would love it someone made list of Must Have Lou Reed Bootlegs! Well, the Chicago 1978 show (Park West) is among the greatest ever! If I could pick a few Lou boots (in no particular order): 1. Sweet Jane (bootleg available as American Poet - and better) 2. The Complete Orpheum '76 Broadcast 3...

And as for "Lou Reed Live" being simply "Rock & Roll Animal" leftovers... That's what I'm saying; instead of making it a double album in the first place those ...

Following mg196's format, here's what I think - the great, essential ones in my opinion. The ones to be kept at hand (in addition to everything by The Velvet Underground, of course): Transformer Berlin Rock'n'Roll Animal Sally Can't Dance (I think I must the biggest fan of this album in the world, b...

"Sweet Sister Ray" is a lenghty instrumental jam piece, no relation to "Sister Ray" that I can hear apart from the title.

Mistrial and Legendary Hearts , should you buy them? Well, it's getting pretty obvious that if you ask me, yes. Where with the live stuff it's hit and miss ( Rock'n'Roll Animal, Animal Serenade : great, Perfect Night Live In London : not so great, Take No Prisoners , well... make up your own mind!)...
