Re: A Day of Listening at the Lincoln Center Library

Many more thanks for the PBE lyrics, it's good to see they contain the germs of the song we love (well, sad, mad and pure). hardly one of Lou's finest moments, lyrically....from his 1974 notebook, with chord annotations:

WAS-IS-BEEN
All the things you said
you thought I was dead
everything made me feel aware ....
Seems to be a working title for "Ennui".

Re: Nico TV '75

Re: The Velvet Underground Jokes thread

Christmas approaches again and here in the UK people will buy bottles of exotic beverage they won't touch at other times of the year. However, everyone forgets that Amarula Cream was Leonard Cohen's very favourite drink. Imagine the scene: Leonard's friend: "What would you like to drink Leonard?" Co...

It's on youtube https://youtu.be/Hil54huNpeg, go listen (I tried but couldn't).

Also hidden away in a different place is a promo video for Evening of Light - https://youtu.be/FkI4znaD7qA - featuring Nico in a potato field with a description by Iggy Pop.

Re: New Bataclan edition

Was there really a rehearsal in London? Weren't PBE and Candy on the long soundcheck, available on various tapes in the 80s or 90s?

I'd like to change the title of this topic to "P.R. shoes ..." :P
Not "Growing up in Publicity?"

ps I hadn't realised Kermit had split with Miss Piggy.
