Re: Velvet's Fuzz Effects (again)

Yep - same Jamie Klimek - he saw the band in Cleveland many times and he taped then - the info is from his sleeve notes to the orig Live '68 bootleg, and there is more info/corroboration in Uptight, from Sterling I think. Klimek isn't in Uptight. here is the gtr, pics from 1967 at the Boston Tea Par...

??.01.66 New York City Psychiatrist Convention 17 B+ / A- Film VU14 or LR65 Where to get this from? I suspect this would be audio from one of the Jonas Mekas films that use his Delmonico's footage - the footage itself is silent, but he recorded the band at the Dom later, so maybe this is part of th...

Re: New Bootleg Website in the Works

f*** - i should really work out what the question is first!
If you mean the single that came with the Italian lyric book, the 2.30 version, that is the same source recording as the 1989 single and instrumental versions, but sounds more muffled and lof-fi, fading out earlier...

Re: New Bootleg Website in the Works

>01. Is the "Ride Into the Sun" (track 01) featured on Ride Into the Sun unique, or is it available on another release as well? The description kind of spins my head! one of the versions on the single doesn't appear anywhere else as far as I know/remember. probably wrong here - aren't they both on ...

Re: 1969

The cover is very very dull, but i will be happy to have these on vinyl also! I will listen to them as well. Will they have put any effort into the mastering? We can hope! When i was younger I sometimes pasted over covers I really didn't like with other /better pictures. This one is nearly in that b...

http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/T~8AAOSwDiBZGCbG/s-l1600.jpg Yikes! This cast was originally made for a video in 1986, for No Money Down. Re: "Todd Haynes to direct Velvet Underground documentary"

... i think it might be the Fugs? Warhol was pals with Ed Sanders at thw time and they were part of the same lower east side scene to the early VU.
Look at them in 1968 here and imagine them 2 yrs earlier https://youtu.be/ljxnEep6d-c

Re: Velvet's Fuzz Effects (again)

hi - haven't been by here for a while. Pretty sure it's all here somewhere. Info is mostly from the Up-tight book and Jamie Klimek's observations. Lou used the new-in-1966 Vox plugin devices Distortion Sustainer and Repeat Percussuion (a choppy trem), that he (or maybe Dan Armstrong) stuck inside a ...
