Re: Ron Nameth archives?

there's a super long (and quite boring!) interview with Nameth here where he talks at length about the film http://www.bauhaus-imaginista.org/articles/4335/interview-with-filmmaker-and-photographer-ronald-nameth?0bbf55ceffc3073699d40c945ada9faf=702c2ee849ca6cd894b48e5f61e43b9a Haynes' reseachers mus...

Re: Coney Island Steeplechase remix

maybe there were 2 vocal takes? one with the phone effect and one clean. I really like the song and had it on a mixtape that I listened to a lot - I haven't listened to the '1969' comp version much, but the phrasing on Mark's version sounds slightly different to the AV version in my memory...

Re: Todd Haynes docu announcement

The doc makes it seem as though Moe was missing because she was pregnant, then Sterling left (which is just flat out wrong - that happened during the early post-Lou era), and then Lou left. It would give people the impression that the band was falling apart, and that made Lou want to leave, when ac...

Re: Todd Haynes docu announcement

I saw the film, the beginning was great, and the music sounded great loud, but I felt the narrative was a bit uneven and i was bored by the end - some bits were covered in detail, others were skimmed over completely - the post-Cale era lasts about 20 minutes, and they include a bit of the Bataclan f...

Re: Lou Reed 1971 Dunbar Acetate?

I think this acetate might be have been made by the publisher to shop the songs around UK artists, to try to get cover versions recorded - this is what Dylan's publisher did with with some of the Basement Tapes songs. These are released recordings rather than unreleased demos, but Lou + the VU were ...

Re: New Bataclan edition

I don't remember a glitch on my olde CD-R, but it's some time since I listened to it. There isn't one on Heroin on this LP anyway - fwiw it's probably the best track imo. Some of the reviews/comments on discogs mention distortion on the Loudest Hairiest Group of All - this one is clean. Sound is goo...

so i ordered the 2013 Keyhole issue on UK ebay from the seller Speedyhen, and was surprised to receive the 2018 Spyglass speed corrected numbered edition with a DVD and postcard. Not bad.
