Guess you're right. But me myself never really understood nor fully enjoyed MMM. I mean, I think there's a lot more to "experimental" music, than just loud noise. That noise had some sort of purpose with the Velvets. I just think it's very odd for Cale not to carry on further with all the incredible...

The interviewer asked the best ever Cale question .... if Reed was taking the VU in a more melodic direction and Cale was supposed to be more into avant garde experimental stuff.... why were his own solo albums made up of melodic pop>?
