Re: Rare, Rarest and Most Expensive VU items

ok - let's not get started! what about this a stock mono WL/WH sleeve (with a trashed stereo vinyl) for $99 - a pretty rare thing I guess, but I didn't expect it to go this high - had a snipe bid of $75! http://www.ebay.com/itm/181477562090?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT ...

You are right! Beard guy is Dave Faison - there's a portrait of him in the 1st edition of Uptight, but Google can't find it tonight. His son Jere Faison is on YouTube though - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=806n0PJ- ... PF_rTxbzog

Re: Rare, Rarest and Most Expensive VU items

Still around, still stalking, still a royal pain in the ass. Everything is archived on a massive web...

VU (+ Kathy Kirby) in Wormwood Scrubs - a London prison

Currently reading Bending The Bars, the prison memoir of John Barker, convicted of the Angry Brigade bombings in London, 1970. While at Wormwood Scrubs in the first half of his 7 yr sentence, he got some amps and other equipment together under the auspices of a programme encouraging artistic express...

Re: Here Come The Waves

This is all interesting + fun. Paths Of Pain and Jewels Of Glory always intrigued me - I knew they were made up, but then, there was Paths Of Glory, so maybe somewhere there was Jewels Of Pain? Shelley Winters (my choice for 'fat blonde actress')wasn't in Paths Of Glory (doh!) but she did kiss murde...
