I originally got it on a VHS tape but some years ago a fellow fan put it onto a DVD for me. I will need to try to find it - I moved house recently and can't remember where it is! The theme of the film is Merce Cunningham's dance troupe so I found most of it very boring....the small segment on YouTub...

I've got the whole film that this extract comes from and it is soooo frustrating! There was a camera crew there and they caught maybe 0.5 seconds of the VU on stage. A friend of mine contacted the original film maker in the 1990s and he confirmed that he had no "out-takes" lying around on the cuttin...

Note Dave Faison in one of those Scepter pics. Has he ever been interviewed re his time with the Velvets? I don't recall ever seeing an interview with him.

I have that copy of NY Rocker and can confirm that the Lester Bangs quote comes from there. But the quote in Uptight is not the whole thing - there is a sentence in NY Rocker which is not in Uptight. quite a few of Connie's shots from this show (20th September 1969) have been published - most of them in "The Velvet Underground New York Art" edited by Johan Kugelberg. That's 'University of Maryland, Baltimore' Taxine. Do we know who the photographer is? I'd love to share this and credit it.
