Re: Collections ...

Yes just like Alfredo, I imagine I will try to sell off, or maybe give away, all of my music collectables before it's too late. I do have a retail space where I could set up a gallery style show. Of course no one would come but I always fantasized about displaying all my posters and records and such...

Re: Dear Delmore- It has been a very long summer and winter.

Some years ago I put together a 3-CD set based on "Lee Harridan Productions," which amounts to material with Terry Philips as writer and producer. Naturally, there's a lot of overlap with Lou's Pickwick era, and in fact the set includes virtually pre-VU recording with Lou Reed involvement. If there...

I'd like to add that it is my belief that the first 14 songs on the above list are the songs where Lou is the main contributing songwriter, with the exception of I've Got A Tiger In My Tank where he may have just added some verses to the pre-existing chorus.

What is "Bad Guy" from?
Listed in the BMI database under Reed/Philips/Vance/Sims as per Unterberger's book.

Re: Lou Reed Archives Poll

The Ecstasy tapes!!! And a bunch of songs named "Untitled"! And as far as things that didn't make the Lou Archives: -No Time Rocker demos :( -No Coney Island demo or Sad Song demo :( -Some known early 70's demo's, like Perfect Day & The Ocean that don't seem to be represented anywhere. Anything else...

Re: Dear Delmore- It has been a very long summer and winter.

Another interesting point is that they recorded 33 songs at Pickwick. I believe Venus In Furs was probably written in May/June 1965 given that Lou didn't try to copyright it on his early May demo tape. The two early songs with dirty lyrics most likely are Heroin and I'm Waiting For The Man, though t...

Re: NYPL Archive

I'm planning to go, not sure when exactly but I'm hoping to go in the fall. I just need to figure out where I can stay near the library for the amount of time I will need and be able to afford it. There is a lot that I definitely want to hear, and some things I will likely need to hear multiple time...

Re: Owsley Soundboards?

Interesting... That's only a couple hundred more than a box set of two complete shows would cost.
How does one find out what shows they hold?
