Re: Seeking info about the alleged 1st SOLO Lou bootleg - Live Stockholm 1974
I think that the 1st (Australian) issue of "Blondes" came out in 1975. I have no idea when the "Rock And Roll Animal" Amsterdam 73 boot came out though. The "Live Stockholm 1974" LP is listed in my (1980) copy of Hot Wax book VIII, but no date is given. I think the only way to find out the truth is ...

this poster is in the "Velvet Underground New York Art" book which gives it a measure of credibility. It also says that the "weekend of shows" never took place.... Re: June 3, 1967, Connecticut - Footage uploaded on YT
Thanks! The original 1990s VHS tape which I mentioned earlier must have been at least a 3rd generation copy ((1) the original tape of the broadcast/(2) my friend's copy/(3) the copy he sent me), so it is great to have a copy closer to the "original". But so so frustrating! I have given up on the Upb...

Re: Lou Reed collectors items catalogue pdf
Those prices are just ridiculous, especially for the magazines, press kits and 1975 concert programme. The "Rock And Roll Heart" press kit isn't even complete - mine came with 2 photos. The Sally reels and Warhol film look interesting, but not at those prices. I had not seen the "MMM" promo sheet be...

Re: June 3, 1967, Connecticut - Footage uploaded on YT
hi Phil, sorry about the delay - I've had covid and my mind has been focused on other things! I don't think there has ever been any intention to misrepresent this audio. I got a copy of the whole film "498 3rd Ave" on a VHS cassette back in the mid 1990s. I believe that it was broadcast on German TV...

Re: June 3, 1967, Connecticut - Footage uploaded on YT
In the 1990s, a friend of mine contacted the original film maker to enquire about any unused material. There was no such material, but he said that he recorded the VU while they were performing.Sheila Klein wrote: ↑02 Jul 2022 00:29What are you basing that information on?It is the actual audio from the Merce Cunningham Benefit.

Re: Interview with Jason Stern from Lou Reed Archives
I 100% respect everyone's choice in music - it is an intensely personal thing. But I'd much rather hear something from his huge collection of live recordings, or even better 60s or 70s studio outtakes.... wow. Of all the audio stuff in the archive I can hardly think of anything less interesting (to ...
