Re: New Universal RePress VU Nico w/peelable Banana?

Sounds like 4 Men With Beards has recently released "VU." I was wondering if anyone knew if the Loaded red vinyl version has the correct versions of Sweet Jane and Rock 'n' Roll, or is it still the truncated version? That would be nice if that was fixed for us vinyl junkies. 4 Men with beards also ...

Re: Lou Reed- Juicy Belly Laughs

Thanks for the link. I laughed my ass off also. I have met Lou 3 times as a fan and he has always been a peach to me, BUT, I have seen the "other Lou" tear other peoples' asses off. I musta' been lucky.

Thanks so much for this thread. I pulled out my La Cave cd and played it along with the lyrics. It has been too long. I didn't remember the different lyrics. Very cool. Rick

Re: Stones Vs. Velvets: There She Goes Hitch Hikin' Again

Lou and Sterling both have mentioned it before. They lifted the riff from the MARVIN GAYE song that the Stones covered. Sal Didn't Old Grumpy say something about there being a fine for anybody playing an r n' b riff? Which is funny, because as much as I love the band, a lot of their stuff is just w...

I know it was in August because I went as a Birthday gift from a friend and I believe it must have been in about 1973 because I was new to drinking at the time (18 back in those days) and I had s...
