Cale & strings '94

Post by threechordwonder » 27 May 2019 12:56

Has everybody spotted these Cale tracks? They are on the PasteMagazine website https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/ ... -cale.html underneath a 2016 article about "Hallelujah" and the re-release of "Fragments".

There are string arrangements of "Grandfather's House", "Dying on the Vine", "Cordoba" and "Fear is a man's Friend" plus some solo stuff, supposedly from 18 September 1994.

I mailed the site to ask about the source but they haven't responded (they have had 10 days now). The tracks seem to match the "John Cale & Strings" boot (which I have not heard) but the various dates don't agree, so if anyone knows any more about them, please post a reply.

Anyway ... enjoy.

Most likely to be a show at "Tramps" New York. Assuming its all the same show Cale says "Hi, New York"
Strings bootleg was Sept 92 in Germany.
