Hmmm...
In order to reinforce the assertion that Jack and Jane are "conventional" the writer has to ignore the fact that Jack is in a corset: this is "metaphorical" we are told. It's more likely in a Lou Reed song that he means the bloke is wearing a corset. Or was Sister Ray a nun?

I'm with Elvis on this one - interesting theories but about as many holes as Janes (string?) vest, as for the 'Just Watch Me Now' line being the pivotal moment in the whole song, I always thought this was an aside throwaway line, Lou doing a James Brown-ism, still, what do I know, I still found it quite a good piece though...
