Wow,what a fine work,a true loving movie, gotta try gettin' the full thing. There's funny that the double speed of the film got the feeling of an "assembly line" mainly with Andy and assistants taking polaroids without stop at white factory 76,pure pop art.

Great find iaredatsun !!

PS: Many thaks Jonas Mekas.

These images are indeed awesome, Taxine. That said -- and not to look a gift horse in the mouth -- the watermarks severely intrude on the enjoyability of looking at them.

It's obviously impractical for individuals to purchase prints of even just the frames that we like, so the obvious solution would be a book. Who among us wouldn't spend, say, $50 for an art book of all the Adam Richie images of the VU?

More pointedly, how is it possible that one doesn't already exist?

So the Bizarre had a stage after all! Why in the hell didn't the band play up there?

Well, judging by the Confederate flag on the stage, I'd say that the VU was an opening act (It's doubtful that flag would have been part of the decor in NYC). Or...it's always possible that the place was pretty empty and the bands had more room on the floor.

American filmmaker and performance artist Barbara Rubin, fashion model and actress Edie Sedgwick and film director Ray Wisniewski talk together at The Dom (from 'Polski Dom Narodowy' or 'Polish National Home', 23 St. Marks Place), where they attended a production of pop artist Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable (EPI), New York, New York, March 31, 1966. The EPI was part of series of staged, multimedia events held primarily in 1966 and 1967.

Focussing in early times,I'd like to share this huge shot at NY club, meanwhile the Velvets and gang were maknig ready up the show on the stage.
