That is Harvey Cowan, producer of Wilson's "promotainment"* radio series
The Music Factory. This staged set of photos seems to suggest that Nico was an on-air guest at one point, but only an ad for her
Chelsea Girls album was ever aired (although it was aired many times).
*In the guise of a "free-form" FM radio show, it was actually an extended ad for MGM/Verve Records, distributed free to any station willing to play it.
Irwin Chusid is in the midst of replaying the
Music Factory episodes on his WFMU show, in full and in sequence from #1. See

The mystery woman in the second photo is Phyllis Smith (aka Phyllis Altenhaus), Wilson's secretary and frequent companion. She was also an actress and film editor, and is featured prominently in Zappa's
Uncle Meat film.

High-angle exterior view outside the entrance to The Dom (from 'Polski Dom Narodowy' or 'Polish National Home', 23 St. Mark's Place), where a banner advertises 'Warhol; Live; The Velvet Underground; Live Dancing; Films; Party Event Now,' part of Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable series of staged, multimedia events, March 31, 1966.
