Me, I never liked Christmas, but I always dug Yule.
Superb. This is just the kind of thing we need for The Velvet Underground Book of Jokes.

Sorry this one is a day or two late ...

A very Happy Max's to all Velvet fans.

Oh lord. It might take a moment but it's worth it.

Q. Why did Moe turn down John's invite to play the anniversary concert?

A. She was all tuckered out.

Christmas approaches again and here in the UK people will buy bottles of exotic beverage they won't touch at other times of the year. However, everyone forgets that Amarula Cream was Leonard Cohen's very favourite drink. Imagine the scene:

Leonard's friend: "What would you like to drink Leonard?"

Cohen: "Amarula ... amarula ... amarula ... amaru-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-la".

(If you don't get it, sing it, like Jeff Buckley or Alexandra Burke or Pentatonix or anyone else who copied it from Cale).

When Nico parted company with the Velvets, the boys assumed all the vocals. John sang with a sonorous tenor, but Lou's voice was reedy.

That's pretty funny thanks, i do love Viz.
Must be a Lou fan who's written that - loving the "expletive-ridden tirades against the rock critics who had only given Berlin 4 stars"
