VU&N and the Billboard charts
Much to my surprise today - in a discussion on Blonde On Blonde of all things - I found out that the Billboard LP chart didn't become at top 200 until May 13th 1967 (it was a 175 before then). The VU&N debuted in the chart that week at 199. Now given that our beloved album was released 2 months earlier to that, could it have charted & hung around 176-200 before the new configuration kicked in? Is there any evidence that it could have?

They wouldn't turn around & break it
And if anyone played a part
They wouldn't turn around & fake it"

Well, sooner or later, one of us must know.
I am so sorry ...

I know it's not an answer to your question, but what's wrong with "Blonde on Blonde"?
