In the old days when there weren't even VHS copies of John Waters films, I used to rent 16mm (I think) prints from New Line Cinema for "showings". Then we rented a projector, played the film on a contraption that had a screen and a VHS camera. That is how early VHS copies got made. They even sent scads of scratch & sniff cards for Polyester showings. I still had a few up until one of the recent hurricanes here. Nowadays, I wouldn't know how to "Emerson" it but back then, when I was young, had extra cash and was determined to own a VHS copy so I could laugh at Pink Flamingos whenever I wanted, anything felt possible. And it sure was.sm7609 wrote:Ha!! Been thinking of this for a while now. Requires a lot of hoops to be jumped through, but it'll be very worth it
