Pretty cool. Lou Reed (1972) deluxe edition perhaps?

Does anyone well-versed in these things know if any of the tracks match up with the versions already in circulation?

Listened again and perfect day and wagon wheel sound like the bonus tracks on the remastered transformer cd and I believe ocean matches with the version that’s on Dispatches From The Factory

I’m curious if these tapes are in the NYPL archive as well, and speaking of which will the NYPL Archive ever be digitally available outside the library?

I think the inclusion of NY Telephone Conversation suggests that this is a new tape not included in the archives. They do have similar demo tapes from the era with most of these songs on them but I suspect they are not studio recordings like this one. (probably the same Tapes that have been bootlegged) This is probably better than anything from that era that the archives holds.

Funny through that whole video I’m waiting for them to play a snippet of NYTC as it seemed they touched on almost every other song. Of course they didn’t play it.

Similar but no, they’re different. The ones you linked to were recorded in someone’s apartment, and these new ones were recorded in a studio.

Interesting - didn't know that Kill Yr Sons dated back to the first LP demos

Why does the Omega Auctions letter say that he can't copy or release them? Surely if he has paid a handsome sum at auction he can do what he wants with them? How does that work?

he owns the tape and the recordings on it, but not the copyright
