The documentary will be playing at the New York Film Festival, slightly before the Oct. 15 release on Apple TV+.
The date it's showing hasn't been announced yet, but the festival is from Sept. 24 - Oct. 10.

Also, it looks like there's going to be a theatrical release, corresponding with the release on Apple, at least in the US.
On fandago.com, I found a showing near me at the Balboa Theater in San Francisco, opening on Oct. 15.

If anyone is planning to be in New York next month (I won't be), the showing at the New York Film Festival is Thursday, September 30 at 6PM. It's showing in Lincoln Center, close to the library where the Lou Reed archives are held.

So the film's out the coming month, and still no sign of any new archive material. I wonder if it will happen this year.

Amazingly it's on for a week in Bristol, really looking forward to seeing this on the big screen while knocking back some vino.

I watched the doc at the NYFF on September 30. I was hoping to arrive early, but I was actually 10 minutes late. Amazing film and showed be shown in theaters! I hope everyone else enjoys it!
