^Nothing new here, although in much better quality than previously posted, and all in one place!
Lessons/rehearsals are going well with Emily; my new student for the part of 'Moe' in The Velvets Experience band. I reckon a month or two more of one-to-one lessons and it will be time to get the full group together in the studio! This show is HAPPENING if it's the last thing I ever do, musically at least!
Please do share the trailer to my tribute album (link below - it has an announcement at the end about the show etc.) everyone! I need as much help as I can get in spreading the word, and making this become a reality!
I've sent an email to John Cale's agents presenting my YouTube content (particularly the collaborations with Caroline Dawson) hoping to plant seeds for just a little bump of promotion if nothing else, let alone endorsement of some kind...(or in an ideal/dream-world; a collaboration!)
I have no idea if my email would have even reached him...so anything that any of you could do which may help get this content seen by the right people would be hugely appreciated!

Those who enjoyed the full cover & tutorial video I released for the song 'I Heard Her Call My Name' last year may have wondered how I was able to transcribe Moe Tucker's drumming so accurately, when she is so buried within the chaos of the original album mix...well now you can hear how I did it - I used a directional mixer in Apple Logic, to zone-in on her area of the stereo image, and spread it out across both channels - this lowers Sterling, John and Lou's parts considerably and moves them out of the way, highlighting Moe's playing. Proto-Punk indeed!
The edited mix is set to a montage of images from the band years, plus clips of Moe playing the song during the 1993 reunion tour.
More exciting new content is in currently the works, so for now, enjoy this little appetiser!
