This may be a stupid question, but what could be the best possible way to describe the differences between Sister Ray and the "Sweet" Sister Ray you sometimes find on live recordings.
Some frogs are green.

There's only ONE recording of Sweet Sister Ray...it's the same thing on all the bootlegs it's on...with the exception of The Wild Side of the Street--it's actually the Guitar Amp version of Sister Ray.
And just wait till you hear the difference!

"Sweet Sister Ray" is a lenghty instrumental jam piece, no relation to "Sister Ray" that I can hear apart from the title.

And the fact that it's played as a prelude to Sister Ray

Yes an improvised long jam similar to early VU/WARHOL times, and really, really great.
But there are no stars in New York sky, they're all on the ground.

somewhat on topic, are there any known bootlegs of "sweet rock n' roll"? I heard of an alleged version while reading all yesterday's parties and was hoping there was some truth to this allegation.
