The Velvet Underground & Nico: A Symphony Of Sound was actually shown at a movie theater during a film festival in my home town Helsinki (capital of Finland) in about '96, '97. They had a full week of Warhol's movies and I went to see Symphony (and always regretted not going to see some of the others as well).

It was very cool to see it but I still kind of have the feeling that no matter how much I love the band once was enough, at least in full lenght!

Thanks very much for that Ferges. From the 30-minute length I guess this is the unofficial video rather than the hour-long commerical release?

I understand what you're saying HF, but much as some of the crazy camerawork is a bit wearing and the sound quality isn't great, I found it fascinating viewing. Aside from the fact that they all look so damn cool, it's just great to be able to see the original VU in their natural habitat, jamming in the Factory. The music is great, and there are some very cool little moments in there, like near the end when Moe does her little "can i have a cigarette" mime to Sterling. Have to say I feel rather sorry for Ari though... I'd be amazed if that boy hasn't grown up with hearing problems.

Anyone know what on earth that contraption is that John is playing with in the first part of the film?
