Late summer 1967 or early fall, same year, Nico and Andy appeared on KMPX in San Francisco
to discuss Nico's Chelsea Girl lp. This was the station set up by Tom Donahue, the guy
who founded Autumn records and ripped off all the artists thereof.
These include Beau Brummels, Vejetables and Mojo Men, VU forum this is your alert.
Anyway the DJ introduced the couple by saying how unassuming they were, as no member
of the KMPX staff recognized them and it was until someone asked if they needed something
that Andy explained their purpose including their identities. I heard the whole presentation
including Nico discussing her LP Chelsea Girl, in between the playing of tracks from said vinyl.
I do not recall It Was A Pleasure Then being played. If it had I would have
bought the LP the moment it dropped into the shelves of the roofless department store
from the Verve helicopter making its deliveries. Now if this turns up, it can be a long lost
then found by Amazing Grace Warhol interview incl. Nico.
