I can see it just fine...?

I have only just joined the forum, so i can't really tell the difference... but this one looks absolutely fabulous!
The letters may be a little bit small for my old eyes - but the subject (i.c. The VU) is well worth it to move a bit closer to the screen.

ferges is now the sole administrator of the forum, so any question regarding the forum should be directed to him.

If you access the site from your own machine, you should perhaps bookmark the above URL - that way the "remember my login" function will work. The .tk domain name is good because it's easier to remember should you visit the site from a public computer or something like that... Suit yourself.
I'd just like to add that if you have to use the "dot tk" address because you're at a public computer or something, you can click and drag the
Continue to THEVELVETFORUM.TK: Message forum for discussion of rock band The Velvet Underground...
(or wait for 15 seconds)
on the "dot tk" screen to the URL address bar of your browser--that makes the site load faster and it gives you the actual URLs for the pages that you visit. It's the same thing has using the direct link:
http://www.velvetforum.com/
You can also
right-click Copy Shortcut/right-click paste it into the address bar.

Thanks for the tips!
I don't want a "Zwinky" or to "get back into the action" or check out the latest Britney blunder.
Just get me to the Forum!!!

I was thinking about registering of a domain name for our forum, so you can get rid of popups from .tk. Any suggestion for the name? thevelvetforum.com or thevelvetforum.info?

I think putting "the" in the name is stupid.
Think about it:
thesmithsonianinstitute.com
doesn't that sound elementary?
Web addresses aren't supposed to be big and gaudy...
vuforum.com
Another idea: Team up with olandem--let's combine the pages (make this forum an extension of his site)...his page gets a ton more people interested in The VU than this place...

I don't want to involve myself in any project as I simply have no time.

Linking two pages together could probably be done--by the right person--within
minutes...
VU fans would actually know about this place! olandem's site is
the VU website...there's no other website...we would get so many more hits.
