This is, I believe, a VHS copy of the original print of the Andy Warhol film of Edie Sedgwick just being herself. Very candid and wonderful to look at. Especially Edie's beauty, vulnerability and radiance. This is around April of 1965. A month after she met Andy Warhol at a party, where he immediately fell in love with her and wanted to put her in a film. Just being herself, because as he stated once "her expressions and movements never stops"...or some words to that effect. The first 33 minutes are out of focus, probably due to camera lens malfunction, although the Warhol crowd says it's on purpose. It's too bad because when you see her exercising on her couch and appearing contemplative, one really wishes you can see her expressions and those beautiful eyes. The second half was filmed later and this is in focus. Wonderful, except we can all thank Chuck Wein, the man talking with her offscreen for idiotically turning on his music and drowning out, but not completely, a lot of the dialogue. Way to go Chuck! But it's still fascinating to watch. Edie has this remarkable ability to forget the camera is on and just be herself.
