MISC NOTES: Great show, shame it was so short!
----------------------------------

Those are the notes from the taper. This is an EXCELLENT latter-day Lou Reed show, and at this point it is from the Lou's last (final?) North American tour. In 2008, Lou ran up and down the East Coast before heading over to Europe to tour "Berlin." Lou seemed to be in a great mood and the band was tight. I don't think I've ever heard a better sounding live show, and that is apparent in this recording. People have mistaken this for a radio broadcast. I would even venture to say it is the definitive live Lou recording of this tour.

My brother and I waited in line outside the 9:30 for a while before the doors opened, and once the place filled up it was packed to the rafters.

I am doubtful whether Lou will ever record a Rock album again, let alone tour. He may play an occasional NYC date or a Festival, but he doesn't seem to crave playing Rock & Roll anymore, which is a shame. All that makes me even happier I was able to see him.

Enjoy.
