Re: New Early Lou LP
What was Reed's involvement with the Donnie Burks record, other than as songwriter?
And, where is that cover photo from?

Re: New Early Lou LP
I think the cover photo is from Vogue, of all places - Cale describes it in Welsh for Zen.

Re: New Early Lou LP
I've bought this lp recently. The sound quality form the record is pretty good ... Al the old singles sound a bit noisy/old, but I guess there are no real better sounding alternatives... I should do a comparison to know for sure, but for me these sound ok.
The Heroin demo sounds very good. It's like Lou Reed sitting in your living room. I was quite impressed. I don't think it's recorded from a speaker or something like that. But I can check the difference between the you-tube video and the track on lp.

I've always understood that Lou's only involvement was indeed as a (co) songwriter. I don't think I've ever seen any credible evidence to the contrary

That would be very interesting if "Heroin" isn't sourced from youtube.Falling Spike wrote:I've bought this lp recently. The sound quality form the record is pretty good ...
