It does not bother me - but what makes it satire? This guy exists, doesn't he?

Assuming he does exist, and he said that - then he's a pretty sad-sounding person for pretending to himself that he liked something he did not. Or it's just a huge put-on.

What makes it satire? I don't know. Maybe satire holds up a distorting mirror to reality, but don't seek any deep meaning in my words.

The article was published just after Lou's death on a New Zealand satirical site which features such gems as "Jetstar passenger furious after missing flight that left on time" and even "New X Factor judges somehow even less famous than previous X Factor judges", so maybe it is satire by context.

But look at this site now - http://www.evilyoshida.com/thread-3739.html.

Was the original article taken as literal truth, or is this reprint super-saturated satire? I've not read it all. There are seven pages and it soon got boring.

Which guy exists? Thomas Vandenberghe? There are several by that name, so, yeah, he exists.

I noticed that he's been on this forum. I still say that it does not upset me one bit. This person is simply seeking attention. The site http://www.evilyoshida.com is equally of no redeeming value and best ignored. Sticks and stones - it will soon be long forgotten in the vast garbage heap of the internet.

I must admit myself that after the seventies, and despite the fact that I saw him perform mainly in his old, during the 80,90,00's, well I'm not a huge fan of his albums, interviews, "concerts" ; for me all he has to say was done from 1964 to 1970 (unlike Cale). 'Berlin', 'Sally...' and the two 1974 live were masterpieces ok but the rest can be so boring, apart from one or two good songs, here and there. Discs like Street hassle or Mistrial, well...
But I don't want to joke or laugh about it, he was rather a very serious person, I saw him several times, never a joke, a smile, nothing perhaps coz the subjects he refers to were not comic, rather tragic.

here is some irony for you, I started thread below the other day and just read "this" thread today. Maybe THIS is why the Lou website he did is now down? Maybe?

I suppose you wouldn't sell one of Yule's logs, would you? It would match my Nico turd.
