someone asked via email so I am posting the link here now. It should be up for a week. Once it goes down, contact me direct and I will be glad to repost. It takes me about 5 minutes. https://we.tl/t-XYAH3SPqMc

Thanks for sharing this

I listened to about half of it but then gave up because it seemed pretty sycophantic and not that informative

I spent a few hours at the NYPL at Lincoln Center (where they happen to be showing the VU Documentary) listening to the digitized tapes from the Lou Reed Archives on the computer.

The "copyright tape" that Lou supposedly never opened in his lifetime? It's been digitized and anyone can listen to it at the library. It's Lou and John and they sound like they're having a good time. It's over 2 hours, so you really have to make sure you're getting there when the room opens. You can tell this was a little before what's on "Peel Slowly and See", with Lou going "words and music Lou Reed" before each song, laughing about it at times -it's definitely from the tape. Interesting hearing "Pale Blue Eyes" and "Men of Good Fortune" that far back. "Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams" pretty much sounds the same.

I thought there was going to be more VU content, but pretty much everything's either out there in bootlegs or been officially released.
