I got my copy today from Rough Trade UK. Very in-depth and thoroughly researched article. Kudos to Phil.

Re: VU article in new issue of Ugly Things
I agree! And I guess I didn't read Phil Milstien's article when the previous issue arrived! I read both yesterday. Man only Phil could get us the legacy of the "Michael Leigh's".....fascinating!!!!falconwhit wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021 05:25Thank you Sheila / Phil for your dedication all things Velvet since the early VUAS days. Re: VU article in new issue of Ugly Things
Got my copy of #56 today. In addition to the Jonathan Richamn article, it also includes an interview with Alfredo (by P. Milstein) and reviews of the book projects he's worked on.
There's a Dec. 1967 photo of the VU with DJ Al Gates I have not seen.
Interesting note by Richman of how Lou once put his guitar output through two different amps so he could play in stereo. This was a gig in mid-68 when Cale was sick.
