I think its from the 'End Cole Ave' CD set, interesting it says 'Licenced by Edna Welthorpe? and this name is 'credited' on the sleeve of End Cole Ave release.

Mrs. Edna Welthorpe was the letter-writing female side of playwright Joe Orton. The LP is the complete first disk of 'End Cole Ave' minus Sticking With You & AFter Hours, and some of those tracks (like the Intro, IWFTM and PBE?) first appeared on Live 1969. In-between song banter and tuning is edited out. Maybe my perception of the better quality is really based on my memory of the Live 69 LP, rather than those versions on End Cole Ave? And now listening to both, I think it could just be ripped from the 'End Cole Ave' CD or at least the same tape transfer.

Ya know, it's a little off topic but I love listening to pre-Berlin Lou banter - the friendly Lou! Just goes to show how nasty Lou was an act that he started to confuse with reality.

Relatedly, just to make clear for everyone who doesn't already know: Live 1969 (or 1969 Live, however you choose) is from October 19. Lou makes a comment about how the Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles (the final score was 49-14), and that occurred on Sunday, October 19.

Yeah the Lou-talk on Live 1969 is great! Lou sounds sooo warm and he's a man at peace with himself.

?you should give other people just a little chance?......"In football anyway?.

They did the first 2 VU albums also. VUNico black vinyl, WLWH Black & Purple vinyl (Lillith/Vinyl Lovers) very good quality. Looks like there is a Record Store Day pink Loaded coming out too-not Lillith related.

The descriptions on the website for those releases are quite amusing. Love the image of "music was to left to fester on its own"..

Vinyl Lovers/ Lilith whoever they are / loads of them come into the record shop I work in. The pressings are pretty good/ They do odd things - like they put the whole of the Chelsea Girls track onto the VU & Nico reissue. Its already quite a long album so to put an additional 8' track at the end - they could be accused of groove-cramming.
When I think of Russian pressings I can only think that the russian mafia may be involved at some level, I don't know why.

As for the purple vinyl VU/ Cole Ave effort. It is now in stock in our shop for ?22. I was tempted but then I have the old double cd in the velvet bag/
so - I have this material already, right?
I wish bootleggers could source some unreleased live or studio VU material. I suppose we all wish that.
When they started putting stuff like the Loaded cd extras / Ludlow St on vinyl.... you know these are desperate times/

(btw - velvet fan - I wrote about the record store day VU release and posted a pic here http://www.velvetforum.com/viewtopic.ph ... 909#p29361
