I'm always struck at how beautiful this design was when I see the peeled pink version. The VU&N in my mind is the yellow banana and this lends an element of freshness to the pink one but it's more than that as the cover becomes softer warmer and with more of an early Warhol feel that I admire. The pinks are lovely on the eye. Also, I really like the construction of those American LPs - the thick card with the papered, printed surface. What a fantastic thingness it takes on in that photo. I want it. But I recently bought a cheap bad unplayable copy of the peeled LP just for this reason.DavidH wrote:Yet another mono promo, here's one I would love to own, but not for $1,136
My copy has the whole image much lower down that the one one ebay. This one looks good with the whole banana more centred and even space above and below. In fact this one looks to be a different printing ? the pinks deeper, the black is offset ? with 'peel and warhol' further up in relationship the 'nana.
My cheap copy which has the gold and blue MGM label inside.
