There is no shortage of new Velvets songs in the NYPL archives, but so far there hasn’t been any real inquiry into which ones interest the fans the most. This is my attempt to get an idea of what the VU community wants.

The Blue Mask Demos, Legendary Hearts demos, Take No Prisoners outtakes, shit basically everything to be honest

The Ecstasy tapes!!!
And a bunch of songs named "Untitled"!




And as far as things that didn't make the Lou Archives:

-No Time Rocker demos
-No Coney Island demo or Sad Song demo
-Some known early 70's demo's, like Perfect Day & The Ocean that don't seem to be represented anywhere. Anything else where those came from?
-No Pickwick recordings. It would be so nice if they could release a compilation of his Pickwick work.
-If I Tell You: still nothing...

I thought there were outtakes from CIB? Songs cut with Nelson Slater during those sessions as well

The "I Wanna Be Black" demo is truly meme-worthy and a 10/10 piece.

I voted ‘Buttercup’ but only because that’s the only one I have heard of before, but I definitely want to hear all early / VU era stuff. Like every second. Please someone leak or release it to us
