Moe's Drumming Style

Someone help an old guy out here...

I always hear about Moe's drumming style (early on at least) as being that she always stood up in front of her drums to play. Yet I can't recall seeing any pictures of her doing that - or at least I can't remember where they are to look at. The images that come to mind are the front of "Praise Ye The Lord" among others and she's sitting down like most drummers.

Where are the pictures of her standing?

hey man you were wondering about pics of moe standing up to play drums. Well sir it is a well known fact that she did indeed play the drums standing up, although im sure that doesnt mean that she never sat down on occasion. If I was computer literate i would post a link to a picture or video, so you could check it out. But considering that I am not, all I can say is look at as many pics as you can find, if there are ones of moe, you can bet shell be standin. Oh, go to youtube and watch the performance of the Velvet redux, when they gigged in the early 90s. Shes standin alright. I think a better question you could of asked is if she ever played the drums standing up AND barefoot. That sounds pretty freakin hilarious. I have read that before somewhere, but I dont want to believe that shit!

she sat at the very beginning, but moved to standing pretty quickly (at least before the EPI)

but she moved back to sitting down in the early 70's, as part of the way Sesnick tried to mainstream the band

Mo said she was influenced by Olatunji, anyone ever heard of him, or could share some tracks? I have a Coltrane CD recorded at the Olatunji centre, he must have been pretty influential back in the sixties?
