This Moe Tucker photo was shot by Doug Yule in 1969, and originally published in 1996 in "'69 on the Road" book. I think it also appears in the recent deluxe edition of the third album.

There is an uncirculated Velvet Underground tape (Scotch MAGNETIC TAPE 290 5 INCH REEL TRIPLE LENGTH), which has clearly handwritten on the box: THE VELVET UNDERGROUND at the Matrix San Francisco December 3, 1969 Tracklisting is written on the back, and the second set ends with "Sister Ray". 1969 seems to be the right year. Anyway just between the Hilltop Pop Festival and a show at the Boston Tea Party, the Velvets would have been in the area.
