Re: "Todd Haynes Quarantined with His Editor to Finish His Queer Velvet Underground Doc"
Ok. Where does the transvestite/transexual reading of Lady Godiva's Operation actually come from? It's not really in the lyrics. The idea for the song's title probably came from Ronnie Tavel's play The Life of Lady Godiva and in that play Lady Godiva is a woman and played by a woman (Dorothy ...

This has been discussed before, like here: viewtopic.php?p=179332#p179332
As I've pointed out, even if you are at the Lincoln Center Library, you cannot listen to this.

Re: Major Spark (with Moe on Drums!)
Confirmed - drum track is not new, sadly.
https://www.hipvideopromo.com/clients/m ... ket_sharedAt the core is a propulsive drum loop performed by the legendary Moe Tucker of The Velvet Underground, reimagined from the 1997 Magnet track “Julie."

Re: Major Spark (with Moe on Drums!)
This is cool, but the drums may not be recent. I found this on Major Spark's Facebook page from back in 2021: Major Spark pulled out an old 2" master of Moe Tucker (The Velvet Underground ) drumming with Mark [Goodman] and his band #Magnet. Now, Brian is building the drum part into a new loop for ...

Sweet Sister Ray - New Low Gen Source on YouTube
Mr. Charlie has unearthed an “extraordinary, previously uncirculated low generation source tape” of this legendary Jamie Klimek recording, which has been bootlegged in inferior quality for decades now. https://doomandgloomfromthetomb.tumblr.com/post/782080727952113664/sweet-rock-and-roll https://w ...

Re: Alternate Heroin?
Looks like the seller took this down.
I don't think Dixigas comes here anymore, but looks like Dixigas was in contact with the seller.

If the seller took this down voluntarily, good for them.

Re: Loaded reissue on Analogue Productions
Sorry, haven’t really listened to the 1995 versions since, well, 1995. I’ll have to re-familiarize myself with the other differences to be certain. That's OK, they're more subtle than Sweet Jane, but still quite noticable - an extra little instrumental lick in R&R and a strange extra part in the las ...

Re: Loaded reissue on Analogue Productions
I just got my copy. I'm on Side 2 (of 4). Liking it a lot so far. No "wine and roses" on Sweet Jane, which is a plus for me. Are Rock and Roll and New Age the 1970 versions or the 1995 (or later) versions? Sorry, haven’t really listened to the 1995 versions since, well, 1995. I’ll have to re-fam ...
