Re: Where was Squeeze recorded?
Interesting... I can't seem to lay my hands on the email anymore (it was 15+ years ago) but I seem to remember he was quite clear that the studio was specifically on Piccadilly. That would certainly make it the more obvious candidate - and this page clearly lists Deep Purple as having also recorded ...

Re: Where was Squeeze recorded?
It's quite conceivable he put all the drum tracks down in a day or two, people recorded pretty quickly in those days. That would make sense, considering that Paice wouldn't be cheap, and that Doug describes the drum tracks being done by teaching him the songs as they went Who knows how Paice might ...

Re: Where was Squeeze recorded?
Doug one told me it was a large, modern studio in Piccadilly. This makes it very likely that it would be Command Studios - which was also notable for being able to book downtime at short notice. Squeeze was done immediately after the Doug/Walter/Willie/Maureen European tour, which would put it ...

Alternate Loaded - official vinyl
Can't see a tracklist yet to see if it matches the boot that has been around a while but it looks like Rhino have decided to beat the bootleggers at their own game by putting this out for "Rocktober" (like Record Store Day is not enough) https://www.resident-music.com/productdetails&product_id=117265

Re: Anthology of Lou’s Work for Pickwick Records - Light In The Attic
So Blue / Leave Her For Me and Your Love / Merry Go Round weren't done for Pickwick and were released officially on: https://www.discogs.com/release/5331708-Various-Rockin-On-Broadway-The-Time-Brent-Shad-Story- Thanks! So Don't Put All Your Eggs isn't a Lou original so I guess that confirms he's ...

Re: Anthology of Lou’s Work for Pickwick Records - Light In The Attic
Having picked this up and weeding out the downloaded boots which are now upgraded, and there are a few tracks missing from the Anthology maybe? On the boots we have Your Love / Merry Go Round (Lewis Reed) Don't Put All You Eggs in One Basket (The All-Night Workers) So Blue (the Jades) The last two ...

Speaking of Mo - does anyone have a rip of her Live At Terrastock album? I've been trying to hunt down a copy for years and failing miserably

Re: Anthology of Lou’s Work for Pickwick Records - Light In The Attic
Sounds a lot brighter than what we're used to but I'm ok with that. Maybe we're hearing the difference between the original master and cheaply pressed 60 year old vinyl. Or maybe they've just re-EQed it for the modern ear. I'd say it's almost unthinkable that any original masters exist for these ...

Re: Nico - Little Sister (the Dom 67 footage)
I don't think he currently has them online. Will investigate
He also did a good composite of Nico singing There She Goes Again which took the vocal from the rehearsal tape on the Banana 45th set and put it over an instrumental of the album version

Nico - Little Sister (the Dom 67 footage)
Allan Okada is the guy who did the audio fan remixes of Chelsea Girl to remove the flutes etc He noticed via lip reading that some of the Nico footage in the Todd Haynes doc was her singing Little Sister at the Dom in 67 and he's synced a portion of his audio fan mix A nice job https://www.youtube ...
