Re: VU/Lou Reed Bootlegs Pitch and Speed Adjustment
if it helps I could provide him with the raw files as transferred from the cassettes....

Re: New AAA pressing of VU&N
Forgive my ignorance/poor memory but can you remind me about the "tape damage"? Was it audible on original LP pressings or on the original 45? I wonder whether anyone here would even need this, but - All analogue 180gm pressing VU&N with traditional sleeve Stoughton style tip-on sleeve. Looks like ...

Re: Philadelphia January 1970 - Bill's copy
the present owner of the master reels from Jan 2 1970 transferred and shared them as mp3 files a while back: they also sounded "slow". If someone could tell me how slow they are I could speed/pitch correct them to see what they sound like. I think the vinyl boot that came out a few years ago is also ...

Re: VU/Lou Reed Bootlegs Pitch and Speed Adjustment
I can't explain the 1972-11-01 concert - it does sound fine to me (and iirc it sounds the same as the "Some Kinda Love" bootleg LP which it was the source for many years ago) I do remember reading that the VU sometimes deliberately de-tuned their guitars when playing live so that they could use ...

Lou Reed 1972-07-29 Ayelsbury - Bill Allerton's copy, speed/pitch corrected
I speed/pitch corrected this by -1.0 semitone - link below. Lou Reed 1972-07-29 Aylesbury audience recording BA copy speed corrected (the original transfer ran too fast, so this version is corrected by -1.0 semitones) Friar's Club Borough Assembly Hall Market Square Aylesbury 1972-07-29 01: audience ...

Re: VU/Lou Reed Bootlegs Pitch and Speed Adjustment
as I said in a previous post - this really is a first world problem isn't it! I use a piece of software called "Wavepad" to process .wav and .flac files - it has a speed/pitch correction function which is easy to use and seems to give good results. I had already corrected the 1972-07-29 Aylesbury ...
