I was reading about "Strange Fruit" a poem and song written by the Jewish-American writer Abel Meeropol when I came across the factoid that he published under a pseudonym of Lewis Allan. I've never seen this mentioned anywhere, but is there any chance this is where Lou Reed's parents got his name from?
