Biography of VU

I just finished reading the biography “Waiting for the Man” by Jeremy Reed and found something it said really confusing. For example, it always draws a odd conclusion, which is too strange to believe in, after some very normal description of Lou’s album. I remember it said that “The Day John Kennedy Died”intended to please the government shamelessly, and Lou’s falling in love with girls is just a way to avoid punishment for being a homosexual. And I’m wondering if the biography is reliable.If not ,would you guys like to recommend some better biographies of vu and Lou Reed ? (After all I’m a new fan and has become their fan just a couple of weeks ago)Thanks a lot!o(＊＾▽＾＊)o♪
