Thanks for all your work - I've made the corrections. Keep in mind, when this gigography was originally put together on the RNRA web page, the internet didnt have a fraction of the info it has now, which is why I've been making so many updates.Luzern wrote: ↑01 Oct 2022 10:25 https://www.rockinberlin.de/index.php?t ... u_1979.jpg
According to the poster linked to above Lou played a show in München (= Munich) on April 8 at a venue called Circus Krone. There was no venue called Circus Krone in Hamburg in 1979. The venue in Stuttgart is spelled Liederhalle. The name of the actual venue of the Mannheim show is Mozartsaal, which is situated in a complex called Rosengarten, which explains the listing on the poster.

Searching "The Varsity" at archive.org brought
What's Up - Rock

"Surrounded by an alcoholic haze, I finally realized that the Roxy Music concert is next Monday. It should be a doozie. Thanks to a mystery man, I also got my tickets for the Rod Stewart concert. Add that to the Village People on the 23rd, and Tom Robinson and Lou Reed at the El Mocambo in May, and you have one happy rock editor."
Note: 1979.May was in the Summer period for the student paper, so no later mention [announcement, agenda, review, etc] of this concert found in this paper.
BUT googling resulted in a ticket:

Ken Schafer: "Lou was kind of an honorary punk and the show was at the Elmo so I decided to see this gig with a friend who was a MUCH bigger Lou fan than I. The thing I remember the most was people shouting "Looooouuuuuu" through the whole show."
