Odd and pointless new VU compilation on vinyl
Re: Odd and pointless new VU compilation on vinyl
Very strange...
Also the cut out of Moe's hair on the cover is truly amateurish.

Re: Odd and pointless new VU compilation on vinyl
I like the cut-out photo cover. The rest of it is very poor.
My favourite VU collection has become the old European Andy Warhol's The Velvet Undeground and Nico 2xLP. And I have bought a (nice-sounding) re-titled CD version from 1994, which is really useful to have.

Re: Odd and pointless new VU compilation on vinyl
This one and a few others in the series have been showing up in my 'recommendations' on Discogs. Even in the world of useless compilations, this VU one is particularly confusing, both in song selection and sequencing. It seems like it was put together by someone who had never heard any of the bands. The Stooges one is a more logical selection, but with terrible sequencing https://www.discogs.com/release/3138488 ... ow-Playing

Rhino's at it again:

Slightly less pointless since this one hasn't been officially released on vinyl before (except for the loaded box-set) but still how hard would it be tonjust release a speed-corrected Max’s instead? Hope they do the other outtakes disk from the box though - much better imo
