and another thing....there is also a tape, albeit of better quality but with the same 'ambience', of Lou rehearsing some new songs (cf one of the Ultra Rare Trax CDs) and AGAIN 'Richard' & 'Lisa' pop up. These guys sure liked taping Lou! Not that i'm suggesting they are the source for these boots!!!!!

Any thoughts?
That´s what I thought, too! Everything else wouldn´t make sense to me.

The Lou solo stuff on Ultra Rare is in Richard & Robinson's apartment, with an audience I think, the Lou & Nico? Nobody seems to know. It sounds to me like they are holed up somewhere trying to get it together, and she is too out of it. I agree there's no particular reason why it should be 1970 (April is sometimes given as the date) other than that's all we have to go on. Anyway Nico is clearly not up to performing the VU/Chelsea Girls stuff at this point in time, so that's why there's no result that we can know about.

For some reason I reached the conclusion that the other guy on the tape might be Danny Fields....

FYI there is a second early Lou solo tape with about 15 songs inc I'm So Free and She's My Best Friend and a song called Lookin Through The Eyes of Love (not the late 60s soul song) but it doesn't sound like it's at the Robsinsons' place. Quality is pretty bad. I had it on tape only and transferred it to CD, but I haven't seen it on (m)any other trade list

Hi simonm, and thanks for sharing these tracks
I have downloaded all the tracks, and I found out that track 6, 14 and 17 are missing.
I also read your messege with the track list. Should I delete track 18,19 and 20?
Haven't listened to them yet.

Yeah - please delete 18 19 & 20 and it might make room for 6 & 14 (the tape is longer than I thought - I said it was 40 mins but it's more like an hour)
