I never said that the colour version was a BBC broadcast - just that it had a b+w BBC "globe" (UK readers will know what I mean) at the end. I always wondered how that got there - maybe the BBC owned the only "professional" grade SECAM:PAL conversion system back in those days.
As far as I am aware, the BBC have never broadcast any of the Bataclan footage.

The "french hippies" version comes, I think, from a partial re-broadcast on french TV very shortly after the original broadcast. Many copies circulating have had the "hippies" edited out.

No, I recorded the show on Canal Jimmy on VHS, it was around 1999, if I remember well, it's the complete Pop 2 show, with the Hippies, I'm on easytree, I did not dl the bataclan show because I've got it directly from the TV show to my VHS recorder, I can send a small mpg file if you want to check the quality, and if it's better, I'll try to seed the show on easytree but I never made a dvd for easytree just audio so I don't know how to do this :( But somebody can help me

I think that the 1999 show was a re-broadcast of a re-broadcast of the original, if that makes any sense.
