Upsetter - I agree with you, and it seems as if MOST of the show is available from various sources. But the whole show doesn't seem to be out there. See below:

Legend says that all the Boston Tea Party tapes (with the exception of the 'guitar amp tape') were recorded by a guy known as "The Professor", who smuggled a reel-reel tape deck into the Tea Party underneath his poncho. Some of his reels were transferred to cassette by Phil Milstein, and these are the tapes now in circulation. Apparently, the "Professor" still has other, unreleased, shows from June and August '69 (+ others?), but these are still on reel-reel tapes, and may be lost now.
how many versions of sister ray
Yeah, the whole thing is circulating among fans, but hasn't been bootlegged in full, for some odd reason.
"For one human being to love another: that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks; the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation." - Rainer Maria Rilke
thanks tikky I'll happily torrent it if wanted, or just send b/p? Where are you in the world?
I've also got a copy of the white label dj promo of the third album, which according to Olandem http://members.aol.com/olandem5/odlpus.html has a 'drier' mix variant of Lou's mix which is otherwise unavailable. I personally find it difficult to tell the difference. Now, easytree won't be usable for this but I'll torrent it elsewhere if people are interested?

Forgot to say - I was the source for the "professor" info which Olivier quotes, and for the comment about it being the best SR available. I still think it's the best, even if the sound quality isn't much compared to the Quine material. But you can tell from my cassette copy that the original isn't very good to start with. I know that this show got as far as being mastered for CD as part of the "Bootleg Series" before the Quine material turned up. Also, this show has Lou singing PBE (it's first public performance) - I dont think he sang this himself again until his 1st solo tour.
