Goddamn dixigas; I have been watching that MGM UK sampler since it came up; it has never been on eBay that I have ever seen. I wanted to try to snipe it at the last minute and my isp provider was slow and cut it too close and you had already won! That is the only compilation lp with the VU missing from my collection. Oh well, you snooze you lose. My bid was about $85 USD. Wonder if your highest bid was higher? Crap; I'll probably never see that one again. Oh yeah, let us not forget "rekusukun" who has almost singlehandedly raised the eBay price of mint Bananas over $3,000! He must have 100 Bananas over the years. My nemesis's.....

Yes, I bought a copy of
The Music Factory many years ago from a radio station that was unloading all of its vinyl, and I've just put my copy up on eBay:

Wow! $256.00 and 9 days to go! This could go up over $1000. If you happen to have saved a copy on tape or cd, I for one would love to hear it since it is absolutely out of my price range these days.

I'm pretty sure I have a tape of the whole thing. A German fan "reconstructed" it sometime in the 1980s. Let me know if you need it (you've probably heard it all anyway, spread over a number of sources)

During the sessions for the VU & Nico deluxe edition, we actually dug out the master reel for Music Factory. The "Chelsea Girl" ad is on my reference cds (along with Miss Joanie Lee and a Heroin rehearsal), alas both were scrubbed due to those pesky legal wranglings between band and label.

Olivier´s Web Site reflects those to be "Yellow Labels" ... could it be possible that there are White and Yellow labels too??
