2 - I'm Set Free (BTP Dec 12 1968)
3 - Foggy Notion (BTP Dec 12 1968)
4 - Who Loves The Sun (Max's Rehearsal July 26 1970)

9 - What Goes On (La Cave, Jan 28 1969)
10 - Sweet Sister Ray (La Cave, April 30 1968)

Just an IMPORTANT comment here: If you don;t have this tape, you should not have this WGO version, only available here according to Olivier's site!!

ALL OF THESE SONG HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED! PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE "LA CAVE WHAT GOES ON" VERSION (1969) IS DEFINITIVELY NOT THE SAME AS THE ONE IN THE PEEL SLOWLY AND SEE BOX!! (1968) (don;t want to be banned due to a misunderstanding! ;-)

Condition is VG

VELVET UNDERGROUND - Boston Tea Party 1969-01-10 UPGRADE

This is an upgraded version of a previous seed of this show:
- lineage doesn't include vinyl
- this one has Sister Ray that's missing on the previous torrent
- it has the correct song order
- this one was speed corrected and EQ-ed in Portastudio, not by some turntable's pitch control

I didn't do all that, but found it somewhere; I believe it was the old Easytree...

01. Heroin 7:58
02. Move Right In 3:44
03. I'm Set Free 4:08
04. Run Run Run 7:20
05. Waiting For The Man 8:32
06. What Goes On 3:52
07. I Can't Stand It 5:48
08. Candy Says 3:46
09. Beginning To See The Light 5:16
10. White Light/White Heat 5:27
11. Pale Blue Eyes 5:46
12. Sister Ray 20:49

Total time: 82:31

lineage master reel->4th gen cassette->Portastudio->iMac DV+->WAV->FLAC
Speed corrected and EQ applied on Portastudio

Enjoy!,
E.

Did anyone download the first (now deleted) BT 10.1.69 torrent? There's an odd instrumental at the start of track 4 just before 'Beginning..'. Anyone know what it is? I don't think it's the VU.

They wouldn't turn around & break it
And if anyone played a part
They wouldn't turn around & fake it"

Lou Reed - Charlton FC (London) - 18 May 1974

Lineage: CD-R from trade -> AIFF -> xACT flac conversion

Tracklist:

1. Intro/Sweet Jane
2. Vicious
3. Ride Sally Ride
4. Heroin
5. Sally Can't Dance
6. Lady Day

NOTE: This show circulates with a 7th track, the USA single version of Charley's Girl. That track has been removed from this torrent.

Holy crap, what a difference this is from the previous show in Copenhagen! Lou is on fire and completely into the performance. Just listen to him ad lib throughout "Vicious." "Heroin" is also outstanding, with Fonfara's church organs just bleeding out of the speakers.

The sound quality is pretty good. There is definitely some tape hiss, but I don't think it detracts much at all from the recording. On the "Rock 'N Roll Animal Webpage," Enrique Miguel is not sure if this is a soundboard or audience recording. I do NOT think this is an audience recording judging by the distant cheers that make it onto the recording. To be honest, I don't think it's a SBD either. I would guess this was an FM broadcast. I emphasize that I am GUESSING.

Danny Weis does a particularly good job this night. His unique "picking" style is one of the highlights here.

OK, everyone! Enjoy another great sounding show from the Sally Tour. I really appreciate so many of you continuing to seed other shows for weeks after I upload them - that makes me more than happy to upload even more. As usual, I did not use any sound filters/declicking/EQ at all here. This is exactly how it sounds on my recording.

Now, go find the 45-rpm USA version of Charley's Girl and tack it on as track 7!

Info hash 5b8a8e4b2d545f485d369b7fea5af4e5593280ee
Description Band: Lou Reed
Venue: Free Trade Hall, Manchester, UK
Date: 31 May 1974

Lineage: CD-R (from trade) -> AIFF -> xACT flac conversion

Tracklist:

01 - Intro / Sweet Jane
02 - Vicious
03 - Ride Sally Ride
04 - Heroin
05 - Lady Day
06 - I'm Waiting For The Man
07 - Oh Jim
08 - Walk On The Wild Side
09 - White Light / White Heat
10 - Goodnight Ladies

This recording is for completists only. It sounds like the bootlegger was recording while underneath a blanket and from quite a distance away. Other than Lou's voice, everything sounds muffled and muddy.

Sorry guys, this is a pretty bad one. Enjoy it if you can. At least the cover-art is pretty cool.

11 - Rock 'N' Roll

72 minutes aprox.

I'll try to help "MG196" uploading some 1974 shows.
I received this in a trade some time ago. The sound quality is not very good (B- I think)
and Lou's voice is very very distant. Despite this, it was a good show.
There are some flaws in "Sally Can't Dance"... the sound comes and goes away... ahhh the old
tapes....
If you're not a Lou fan, try to download another Lou'74 show.
If you have a better version of this show, please upload it!!!

Hey Jebus, thanks for promoting those torrents. As anyone who has been following my Lou uploads knows, I am trying to upload every Lou show I have thru 1980 (in order). A lot of these are very tough to come by and the more people that have them, the better. Nanuk_99 has also been helping me out.

If DaD happens to reject a torrent (as they did w/ someone's Paris '74 DVD), I will be posting on http://www.Demonoid.com .

Recently I had a Johnny Thunders torrent rejected because I posted audio taken from a VHS -> DVD transfer. DaD required me to post a direct VHS -> Audio transfer without the DVD conversion. They said that the audio files on the DVD were LOSSY! DaD Mods need to understand that some of the videos posted are extremely rare, and once DVD transfers are made, the VHS tapes are often disposed of. The JT show I posted has never been issued on audio ANYWHERE - and it took me 10 years to track down video of the performance.

Anyways, keep your eyes out for more Lou shows. :D

Torrent #89046 Velvet underground - Max Rehearsal - Summer '70 - Complete set, Never Released!
Torrent file VU Max Rehearsal.torrent (will be personalized for you upon download)
Downloads as VU Max Rehearsal
Info hash 2ae20f276fff98cfe34e0d9b75390c7436e320fa
Description Hi VU Fans,

This is the VU Max's rehearsal set, just before they played on July 26 1970 at Max kansas City.I am very please to share this rare piece of collection with you, as even if you can find some of the tracks here and there in some bootlegs, here is the entire rehearsal including What Goes On, WFTM (with the flase start), WLWH and others tracks you've probably never heard before.

Source: tape -> CDr -> Me -> WAV -> Flac -> You

The track list is at follows:

01 - It's Just Too Much
02 - I'm Free
03 - I Found A Reason Take 1
04 - I found A Reason Take 2
05 - New Age
06 - Walk And Talk It
07 - Track07
08 - Head Held High Take 1
09 - Head Held High Take 2
10 - Head Held High Take 3
11 - Wild Child & Little Queenie
12 - Good Lovin'
13 - Oh Mickey
14 - Track14 (I suppose this is "Max jingle" as mentioned in Olivier's site)
15 - I'm Waiting For the Man (false start)
16 - I'm Waiting For the Man
17 - White Light White Heat
18 - What Goes On
19 - Cool It Down
20 - Who Loves The Sun

According to Olivier's Landemaine:
"Danny Fields' reel-to-reel tape (directly transfered from Brigid Polk's cassette) is marked "Velvet Rehearsal 6/26/70" but the date is written a bit unclearly... It's recorded at a rehearsal with a single mike in mono.Tape: audience, B+/C, 60 mins."

I would rate the overall sound quality as "G".

Hope you will enjoy,

--Doug
