Man, I didn't know anything about Quine passing away. He is in my top 5 guitar players forever. What a loss...

I am absolutely stunned into oblivion by the tragic news of Robert Quine's death. Now compounded by the possibility that his death was self inflicted :

This is just too sad for words.

Forgive me if I am out of line and requesting too big a favor. Ferges, may I respectfully ask that you re-post some of the older tracks while we wait for the next challenge? Again, my apologies.

Wow, man I must also voice my sadness at the passing of Mr Quine, who I have always enjoyed with either Lou, the Voidoids or any Richard hell project, or any other time he picked up a guitar. You can definetly say that this gentleman left the world better than he found it. His contributions are still fresh today and will be for the unforseeable future. His intuition to record the Velvet Underground and to hold onto those tapes until they could be shared with fans to come, is prolific to be sure. A selfish note, makes me wonder what effect his death has on any future release of V.U. material still in his posession at the time of his passing. One can only hope that more is to come, legally or through any other channels that present themselves. I don't want to dwell on that in exclusion of tribute to Robert himself. His loss, and the circumstances of his death, with implied substance overdose (intended or not) seems even sadder considering his long period of sobriety. The death of a close loved one, especially a mate, has brought many an artist to a premature end. Our guitar hero has much distinguished company. Rest in peace, Robert, and if there is something beyond death, I wish you reunited with your dearly departed spouse. Good bye.

Yes, or barring that, can anyone
please take up Benjamin's most generous and helpful offer:
